Osteopathy is a totally natural form of manual medicine, which encourages healing, by focusing on how all the systems within the body communicate with each other.
Osteopaths use a wide range of evaluative techniques to diagnose areas of dysfunction specific to each patient. Osteopathic treatment uses techniques such as stretching and soft tissue massage alongside mobilisation and manipulation of specific joints and soft tissues using direct or indirect techniques.
Both Kate and Anna are registered ACC treatment providers, which means you do not require a referral from your GP to receive ACC covered treatment. Some private health insurers also cover osteopathic treatment.
What do Osteopaths treat?
Neck, back and joint pain
Shoulder injuries including rotator cuff problems and frozen shoulder
Sports Injuries – ankles/knees/shoulders/hip
Pregnancy related pain – pre and post
Muscular imbalances + strength issues
Kate and Anna both treat babies for problems such as colic, reflux, latching problems, sleeping issues and general fretfulness.
